Darvocet will be taken off the market.

This stems from confusion with recent news of the UK yanking Co-proxamol, an acetaminophen/dextropropoxyphene combination product...similar to Darvocet.

The UK's Committee on Safety of Medicines (CSM) says the benefits of Co-proxamol aren't worth the risks. It's linked to 300-400 fatal overdoses each year in the UK.

The CSM goes on to say that Co-proxamol doesn't seem to relieve pain any better than acetaminophen alone.
